Business Development Officer for Pearson Test of English (PTE), Eugenia Odame Yeboah, has advised Ghanaian students who intend to seek academic studies abroad to opt for the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) as their ideal English proficiency exam platform.
Speaking at the Pearson Test of English Study Abroad Seminar and Fair held on Saturday, Eugenia Odame stated that the PTE offers a myriad of advantages compared to others.
She noted that the PTE offers benefits such as being a computer-based test that eliminates the human element and also produces results within 48 hours.
"The test is readily accessible," Ms. Yeboah explained. "Candidates can book exams online and take them at the Linear Assessment Services Centre in Accra." She said with a cost of $235 for standard applications and $195 for dependent visas, the PTE offers a competitive alternative.
Speaking at the conference, a representative of the Mastercard Foundation, Miss Jennifer Selasie King, noted that Mastercard decided to partner with PTE because of its belief in the effectiveness of PTE.
She mentioned that the Mastercard Foundation is a great scholarship opportunity for students and entrepreneurs.
Present at the program were 15 organizations that provided important information to students on education opportunities outside Ghana.
The event was mainly attended by students from the University of Ghana and other tertiary institutions.
