Abdul Salam, a management member of New Edubiase United, has attributed their poor start start to the to internal fighting between the club's hierarchy. The team's top brass have been involved in bickering well before the season kicked off earlier this month.

The boys from Bekwai have failed to grab a point from the two games played in the league so far after losing their first to Medeama in their opening fixture and losing heavily to Hearts of Oak on Sunday. Edubiase and Kotoko will represent Ghana at next year's African clubs competition.

Abdul Salam, Communications Director of the team, spoke to Citi FM in Accra. "When those issues came up we were worried that we would have divided attention given the fact that it was so close to the commencement of the league. And it is obvious that it has taken its toll on the team."

He also concedes that the mental state of the entire team may not be up to scratch, for the moment. "Psychologically the boys were not probably well psyched up as we always are prior to the season. Management was divided and were were trying to solve issues in the boardroom. So definitely it has taken its toll."

Edubiase is currently bottom of the Ghana Premier League, having uncharacteristically conceded six goals from two games.
