New Edubiase are in financial turmoil ahead of their return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup against Diables Noirs, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
The Bekwai-based side received financial relief from the Ghana FA before hosting the Congolese side in the first leg at the Accra sports stadium last weekend.
The Ghana FA Cup holders have become cash-strapped following the death of their chief financier David Lamptey in December last year.
Edubiase are now appealing to government to come to their aid and fears failure to do could see them pull out of the return encounter in 11-days time.
The club must cough up $60, 000 for the return-tie and will also need over two million dollars for the group stages.
