The world title of the BOXE FRANCAISE(FRENCH BOXING) was retained by the Franco-Ghanaian Enock EFFAH. Last Saturday, on the 17th of November,2007 a challenger came from Serbia in the person of SASA CIRCOVIC to try to take the title. Sasa will forever regret this fight. Enock Knocked him out within 15 minutes in a unilateral bloody fight.

Before the fight, Enock insisted on the presence of a substantial supporters from the Ghanaian community. He received satisfaction. The Ghana Embassy in France under the Ambassadorship of H.E. Prof. Albert OWUSU-SARPONG brought a solid delegation of Ghanaian diplomats which was led by Consular AZUMAH. He encouraged the Ghanaian youth in France to take example from the sportsmanship of native Ghanaians such as Abedi Pele AYEW, Marcel DESAILLY and now Enock EFFAH and, to continue to bring glory to our home country, Ghana. He also thanked all Ghanaians who were able to show up. The almighty Ghanaian M.C. Uncle Charles ANSAH, Mr John BOAMAH of the Ghana Union association and several Ghanaians from the four corners of France came to cheer the Champion.

The Mayor of Paris and the French authorities, were represented by Mr. Jerome COUMET, Mayor of Paris 13 and several councillors of his local government administration. The President of the association of Ghanaian Community In France Representative Council (GHACIF) Hon. OSEI-MENSAH, who was representing the four regional POLES of GHACIF across France, told them that the combat was a defence of Ghanaian pride and identification in France, and its propulsion onto the world across that world title. He threw a Ghana flag onto the ring after the victory. Enock's roots are from Ghana. His power is from ‘FUFUO’. He gave his opponent ‘AKAKADURO’ and ‘AMAKO’ punches. Thousands of French and people from other origins witnessed the fight.

M.C. Charles ANSAH who was the spiritual father of Enock for the day accompanied him to the ring. The movement was very emotive. M.C. ANSAH mentally and spiritually motivated Enock who in turn imbibe the Ghanaian ancestral energy from him. For those of us who are superstitious we say uncle Charles "wo nim fom, na w'asan aben" (literally meaning “you are a sage and powerful – spiritually”). He really sparked Enock up.

A supporting bunch of 30 GHACIF delegation was led by GHACIF Editor Kwame NKETIA and Webmaster Patrick DUMORINE.

What comes on our mind at this juncture is the sparkling of Freddy ADU, the young and talented soccer star in the USA at the moment, who is a Ghanaian by origin. Now, with this victory for Enock, Ghanaians in France can also boast of the same excellence in the field of sports, not forgetting the debuts of young André AYEW with the Olympics Marseilles FC.
