Effia NPP parliamentary candidate supports Sekondi Hasaacas, others to secure division one promotion
The parliamentary candidate presented GHC 5,000 each to the teams
The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for the Effia constituency in the Western Region, Isaac Boamah Nyarko, has extended a helping hand to Sekondi Hasaacas FC, Sekondi Eleven Wise FC, and Bis Paradise FC.
The move is to motivate the three teams to qualify from the Western Regional Second Division middle league to Division One.
The middle league is currently ongoing at Aiyinasi CAM Park in the Ellembelle District.
Sekondi Eleven Wise and Bis Paradise FC have won their opening games.
The items presented to the three teams were soft drinks and bottled water. He also presented GHC 5,000 to each team.
Isaac Boamah stated that his support would go a long way toward encouraging the players to perform well for their respective teams.
"I want one of the three teams to qualify for Division One, and it seems necessary for me to contribute my quota," he said.
He stressed that his benevolence acts will not only be for Effia Constituency, but for the entire region. He believes the region can also be developed through sports.
He, therefore, took the opportunity to appeal to other individuals and companies within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis to support the three teams in their return to the Ghana Premier League.
He also urged the playing bodies to respect the rules and regulations of the competition and to be disciplined on the field of play.
The clubs that received the donation also expressed their joy upon receiving the donation, as it will help ease their burden ahead of the 2024 Middle League.
