The acting Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited, Mr. Vincent Sowah-Odotei has said that, management is committed to building a brand that will be competitive and capable of competing at the highest level.

He said this at the club’s 105 anniversary ceremony at the Club’s secretariat on Friday in Accra.

Mr. Sowah-Odotei said they were working hard to move the club back to its good old days and urged fans to remain positive and render their unflinching support despite their struggle to win laurels in recent times.

The last time the Phobians won the Ghana Premier League was in 2009.

“We saw ‘Canaan’ last season but we couldn’t step our foot there. But we are hoping to settle in ‘Canaan’ this season so we believe that our fans will give us the necessary support so we can do this together and be the once upon a time envious club in the country”, he stated.

He added that, management is working on getting a training pitch for the club which to him (Sowah- Odotei) would be ready in a few months.

The Managing Director also presented the club’s new home and away jersey with Mr. Robert Kyere, the Public Relations officer of Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL).

Mr. Sowah- Odotei who doubles as the Strategy Management explained “that is what we are identified with and so we are going back to being [us]”.

Mr. Robert Kyere also mentioned that, GOIL was ready to accomplish the one year contract with the club.

He said they believed Hearts will hit a great height and that will be a yardstick for other clubs to emulate saying ‘‘therefore GOIL is committed to supporting the club to the end’’.

Mr. Sowah- Odotei appreciated the efforts of the Oil Company and assured them that the club, will make progress next season.

He hinted that, life insurance policy will be launched next year for players to ensure their future security.
