Midfielder Michael Baidoo made his Black Stars debut after climbing of the bench to feature in Ghana's goalless draw against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The 25-year-old Elfsborg star replaced Atalanta midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana with the ten minutes remaining as the Black Stars chased a late winner, but a stubborn Sudan side held on to share the spoils with Ghana.

Baidoo was handed a late invitation to the team following the withdrawal of four players from the initial 25-man squad, including captain Thomas Partey.

Despite coming on late in the match, the former FK Jerv star showed glimpses of quality, adding some attacking threat to the team as the Black Stars created several chances in the final minutes of the game.

The ex-Ghana U20 player will travel with the team to Libya for the second leg of the game against Sudan with the Black Stars in desperate need of a first win in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
