Elmina Sharks head coach Kobina Amissah says his side were unlucky after conceding at the death in their 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Sunday in Kumasi.
Emmanuel Gyamfi slotted home in the final minute of additional time to upend the stubborn visitors.
Amissah patted his boys on their backs for a good display and argues they did not deserve to lose.
''We came with a game plan to frustrate Kotoko. From the start of the game, they were passing from the back, which meant our plan worked,'' Amissah said in a post-match interview.
''I'll say we lost narrowly due to hard luck because we were talking about ending the game with a goalless draw but unfortunately for us, we couldn’t sustain into the last minute.
''Gyamfi’s goal was a goal every player could have scored. It wasn’t a ‘workable’ goal. Indirectly, it’s not a perfect goal so I’ll say my players did very well.''
