Elvis Manu must fight for Brighton place

Ghanaian international attacker Elvis Manu must work above himself if he is to secure regular first team slot at English Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion following the arrival of forward James Wilson from Manchester United.

Manu, 22, has failed to command a starting role since his arrival from Feyenoord and has come off the bench just five times culminating in just 66 minutes of football in the entire 17-week-old Championship.

But he must work even harder following the arrival of English forward James Wilson who signed for the Seagulls on loan for the remainder of the season.

Wilson, 19, made 13 league appearances at Manchester United last season and is expected to walk his way into the Brighton regular first team, especially following manager Chris Hughton admission of admiration for the young English forward.

Manu has successfully completed his nationality switch from the Netherlands to Ghana and is available for call-up from coach Avram Grant who held discussions with the forward before he finally firmed up his decision to play for Ghana.

But in obvious terms the Israeli gaffer would want to see more football side of Manu at Brighton before concluding on handing him his debut Ghana call-up.
