Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Elvis Manu claims he has been told by Brighton & Hove Albion he can leave on a free transfer in January.
The 23-year-old has failed to impress the technical handlers of the English Championship side since joining them in 2015.
"It was a good conversation for the club to understands my situation and said that I should be free (to leave)" Manu told Voetbal International
"And the good news is that no one [club] has to pay anything. I can go for free."
He is under a contract which keeps him at the Albions till 2018, but he is keen on a return to the Dutch top flight, ideally with Feyenoord.
Manu has made 14 appearances in total for the Seagulls lads in the ongoing season.
