Eminent Sports Administrators to meet again on Sports Bill

The Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the National Sports Authority (NSA) is organising a two day retreat of Eminent Sports Administrators/Personalities at the Best Western Hotel, Airport Residential Area, Accra, from Wednesday, 10th September, 2014 to Thursday, 11th September, 2014 at 10:00am.

A press release issued by the PRO of the Ministry of Youth and Sports said discussions will be centred on a review of the state of sports disciplines in Ghana and advising on the development of a national strategy to revive the disciplines as well as hold discussions on the draft national Sports Bill,2014.

The first day of the retreat will be to evaluate the entire national situation from the grassroots to the international level and advise Government on the way forward, whilst the second day would be devoted to the validation of the revised Sports Bill.

Three (3) Sub-Committees, namely, Technical & Infrastructure Development; Discipline Administration & Team Management; and Finance, Sponsorship & Marketing will deliberate on these sectors.

The Ministry desires to tap into the rich experience of these eminent sports personalities and administrators to review the state of sports organization and administration in Ghana and wish to assure all Ghanaians that it is fully committed to the promotion and development of all sporting disciplines in the country.
