Emmanuel Banahene on target for Ismaily in Egypt

Ghanaian international Emmanuel Osei Banahene was on target for his Club Ismaily as the Egyptian Premier League came to an end on Monday.

Banahene registered his ninth goal of the season with a superb strike in their 2-0 win over Aswan FC.

The 25-year-old shot his side into the lead in the 36th minute before Marwan Mohsen added the second 8 minutes later.

Ismaily could be featuring in the CAF Confederations Cup next year should fifth place Smouha fail to win their final game.

Ghanaian duo Peter Oduro Kwarteng and Kofi Owusu were in action for Aswan.

Banahene who had a troubled season with his constant injury woes is still hoping to earn a call-up back to the Black Stars team.
