Ghanaian winger Ernest Asante has been ranked the world’s second fastest footballer by EA Sports FIFA Games in the set-to-be released 2016 edition.
The latest edition of the world’s football governing body’s only approved game is set to be released in a couple of weeks and various attributes and qualities of players have been shared.
Asante, 26, is ranked the second fastest footballer on the planet and is only second to Arsenal’s Theo Walcott who scored 96/100 per the scale of the rating.
The former West African Football Academy graduate is second with 95/100 and followed by Jurgen Damm who plays for Mexican side Tigres.
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale who is renowned for his quick-feet and gliding pace on the flanks finished in a lowly 8th spot while current world best footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and challenger Lionel Messi all failed to make the grades for the top 10.
Asante’s pace has been his biggest weapon which he uses for his trades on the flanks and Stabaek IF manager Bob Bradley has spoken high of his lightening-pace and electrifying displays on the flanks.
Asante played at Manchester United on trials in 2008 but he was not signed by the English giants as he moved on to play in Belgium before heading further to Scandinavian Peninsula to play for IK Start for five seasons.
The exciting winger left IK Start in the Norwegian top-flight to join rivals Stabaek IF before the start of the Eliteserien campaign and is now the assist king in Norway with 11 assists and 8 goals in 22 games.
Ghanaian attacking midfielder Dominic Oduro who played for Canadian side Montreal Impact in the American Major League Soccer has also been included in a separate rating for fastest players in the game.
