Essien captains Ghana against Montenegro

AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien will be leading Ghana on the pitch in a pre-World Cup friendly against Montenegro in Podgorica today.

Coach Kwesi Appiah will start captain Asamoah Gyan from the bench alongside Schalke star Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Stromgsgodset goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey will be in the post with Daniel Opare, David Addy, Jerry Akaminko and John Boye shielding him.

The friendly kicks off at 1700 local time.
