Evans Botchway, an 18-year-old Ghanaian forward, stole the show with a stunning hat-trick in IF Brommapojkarna's resounding 5-0 victory over IFK Östersund in the Swedish Cup on Wednesday.
Botchway, who joined Brommapojkarna from Accra Lions, found the net in the 43rd, 53rd, and 61st minutes, showcasing his exceptional pace and dribbling skills.
Daleho Irandust scored in the 12th minute, with Ludvig Fritzson adding the fifth goal in the 76th minute. Botchway's impressive performance marked his first hat trick for Brommapojkarna and highlighted why he is considered one of Ghana's brightest prospects.
Botchway made a significant impact in the Ghana Premier League, playing 19 matches and scoring two goals for Accra Lions. His performances earned him a spot in Ghana's U-20 team, where he scored two goals in three appearances.
With one goal already in the 2024 Allsvenskan, Botchway is quickly making a name for himself in Swedish football. Brommapojkarna will next face AIK in the Allsvenskan on August 25th, hoping to build on their impressive cup victory.
