Captain of Great Olympics Dan Quaye believes Jose Mourinho cannot save the club from their ailing season if management do not resolve their differences.
The former Medeama SC coach was handed a two-year deal last week to help the team recover from their poor league start.
But, a section of supporters hold the club’s management responsible for the club’s poor performances this season rather than Godwin Attram, in an awful campaign that sees them sit firmly in the relegation zone despite having one game in hand.
And Dan Quaye has echoed the sentiments of those fans during an interview with Happy FM’S Wamputu Sports.
“If management cannot resolve their differences, our fortunes will not change even if we have Jose Mourinho in the dugout.” He told Happy FM.
“The playing body is not the cause of the team’s woes, it’s the management that is causing all these problems. The team itself need about two or three experienced players to help augment the team and nothing more.”
“There is no problem with us the players likewise the coach (Godwin Attram) and I don’t have any qualms with the new coach they are bringing on board but if they don’t solve this misunderstanding, everything will remain stagnant.”
