Ex-Central Regional FA Boss turns down FA plea

Dethroned Central Region Football Association President M.N.S Doe turned down the plea of the Ghana Football Association to settle the election dispute he has with Roy Arthur out of court.

The former Black Meteors Management Committee chairman jumped to court to seek for redress after he lost the regional FA Presidential election to Roy Arthur.

Mr. Doe insists that Roy Arthur was not duly qualified to contest for the position after losing the election and wants the court to nullify his presidency.

He has since sought for an injunction prohibiting the newly elected president from being sworn into office.

The Dispute Resolution Committee from the GFA, led by the Vice President of the federation George Afriyie called on the aggrieved M.N.S Doe to seek for an out of court settlement.

But information available to GHANAsoccernet.com indicates that the resentful Doe did not accept the plea.

The meeting which took place the Robert Mensah Stadium for about two hours ended by the committee chairman giving Mr. Doe two days to still think about his decision to still pursue the case in court or withdraw.

But it can be confirmed that Mr Doe is still adamant to continue the case in court even though the two day ultimatum had not elapsed

According to the GFA Vice President the committee has visited all the three regions: Volta, Northern and Central regions to settle all election disputes out of court and they are yet to submit the final report to the GFA.

The committee members comprised Mr George Afriyie, Madam Leanier Addey, Lawyer Kweku Ayiah and GHALCA Vice President Isaac Koomson.
