Former General Secretary of the Ghana FA Worlanyo Agrah is likely to be charged for obstructing the course of justice and concealing information.

Agrah was arrested on Tuesday and detained until Thursday by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI). The BNI had, for unexplained reasons, denied several enquiries about whether Agrah was in their custody. The National Security Advisor General Joshua Hamidu interviewed the former GFA General Secretary.

The interrogation, according to sources, centred on allegations that Agrah concealed his foreign bank account from investigators during investigations into the missing $US 46,000 that has landed Mallam Yusif Issa in jail. A former legal adviser to the GFA, Ibrahim Tanko introduced a new dimension to the Mallam Issah case when he told an radio station that he was contacted by Agrah, who was a prosecution witness in the trial, to convince counsel for Mallam Iss! a not to cross-examine him about his foreign account.

The convicted former Sports Minister, Mallam Issah is serving a four-year jail term for stealing and fraudulently causing financial loss to the state.

Meanwhile, the BNI has asked Agra to report back to the Bureau next Tuesday. The directive was given to the former FA general secretary on Friday morning when he reported to the BNI as demanded by the Bureau when he was released from detention on Thursday evening.
