Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Mintah has stated that he is open to making a return to Ghana Premier League side Karela United.
The 28-year-old is without a club after his contract with Hearts was cancelled last month.
Mintah joined the Phobians in September 2019 after excelling in the NC Special Competition with Karela however he failed to live up to expectations in Accra.
Following his sacking, there has been reports of him rejoining Karela.
He has denied those reports but refused to rule out a return to the Ayinase-based club.
“It’s never true that I have joined Karela United. I have talked to some management members after my contract with Hearts of Oak was terminated but there was nothing conclusive. Karela United is my mother club and this is football. I will never rule Karela United out”, Mintah told Kyfilla.com.
Mintah lasted only five months at Hearts of Oak before his two-year deal was terminated.
