German trainer and ex-Kotoko coach Hans-Dieter Schmidt says ex-Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffour must be appointed as General Manager.
Adding his voice to the issues of managerial turbulence in the Red Family, the former coach believes Osei Kuffour has what it takes to manage the club to make it a strong force in Africa again.
“Let them take Sammy Kuffour as their General Manager. He has enough money and good contacts in the world of football. No need to provide money for him,” the German trainer wrote in a Facebook chat.
The role of the General Manager of the Porcupine Warriors has recently attracted huge attention as the board of the club has asked Opoku Nti to lay down his tools.
Sammy Kuffour was rumoured to have inched closer to securing the Kotoko top job but a media publication thwarted plans to make him the General Manager.
But Dieter Schmidt insists that the club must reconsider the decision to appoint him as the General Manager since he can better brand and make the club better.
