Chief Executive Officer for the Databank Group, Kojo Addae-Mensah, has challenged Congress to expel Great Olympics for taking the Ghana Football Association to an ordinary court instead of using the judicial processes within the game.

This comes after the Accra-based club suffered another setback last Thursday when the court dismissed their quest for an injunction on the start of the competition, clearing the path for the top-flight matches to commence.

Mr. Addae-Mensah wants Congress to stick to its rules on expelling litigating clubs.

“Great Olympics used the court to cause unnecessary delay in the start of the Premier League”, he stated on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.

“I dare the congress to expel Great Olympics for taking the FA to an ordinary court”.

“Let’s expel them because they pulled our league back. However, wish we could push the league to August to be in sync with the European Calendar”, he added.

According to Article 21 Clause 1 sub Clause 4 of the GFA statues which stipulates that clubs that fail to exhaust all internal modes of conflict resolution and seek redress at the court of law shall be expelled from the league.

Last weekend, week one of the Ghana Premier League was played across the country.

Below are the fixtures for Week two:
