Investigations by finalwhistlegh.com have found evidence that there is a clandestine plot by some senior government officials to unseat the Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.
The hatched plot, finalwhistlegh.com can reveal, was borne out of the minister’s insistence that he was not going to allow a certain Travel and Tour Company (name-withheld) to solely be in charge of the organization of Ghanaian fans, who would be travelling to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup.
Reports corroborated by close confidants of the minister say the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of that popular travel and tour company, just after the Black Stars game against the Pharaohs in Egypt, approached the minister in an attempt to convince him to give his company the green-light to start travelling preparations.
But, it is roundly believed that Mr Afriyie Ankrah rubbished the idea and insisted it was not possible for a single company to organize the thousands of supporters who were likely to embark upon the journey to Rio de Janeiro.
The minister, finalwhistlegh.com learnt, said in plain words that his outfit was only going to permit at least three companies to be involved in the organization, considering the huge numbers involved.
And the minister’s response reportedly did not sit well with the said CEO who has since been lobbying for the removal of the minster.
“This man (referring to the said CEO) has been talking to some people who are very close to the presidency for Mr Afriyie Ankrah to be reshuffle or remove from office, so he can satisfy his selfish interest ,” an insider told finalwhistlegh.com.
