F.C Medeamaa grabs Nii Adu Sackey

In a bid to realise their dream of joining the Ghanaian Premier League within the next two years, management of sensational Tarkwa based Division Two side, F.C Medeamaa, has signed former Feyenoord and Great Olympics trainer Nii Adu Sackey to join compatriot Abdul Karim Zito as the club prepares for the forthcoming Western Region Division Two Super Middle League.

F.C Medeamaa, formed a year ago by the man referred to as the Abramovic of the Western Region , Moses Armah, CEO of Mospacka Company Limited, suppliers of mining equipments, appears to have won the hearts of most soccer fans in Tarkwa which has seen the club enjoy massive support from fans whenever they appear on the field.

The signing of Nii Adu Sackey according to management is to strengthen the technical team especially their nursery side Rospak S.C in nurturing more young talents for the senior side.

Together with Sam Arday and Karim, Sackey was instrumental in the nurturing of players likes of William Tierro, Edmund Owusu Ansah, Jordan Opaku, Harrison Afful Dominic Adiyiah among others who are all national team players during his days with Feyenoord. In a interview with Oman F.M over the weekend, Moses Armah shared his delight in grabbing Coach Sackey as he sees him teaming-up perfectly with Karim Zito to build a solid side within the next three years in order to realise their of making it to the Glo Premier League. He said “I am glad Sackey has agreed to join the Medeamaa family and it is my hope that his partnership with Karim Zito will work perfectly for the club judging from what they did during their stay with Feyenoord.”

“I believe the Feyenoord connection will do a good job provided they enjoy the kind of support they enjoying at the moment” he added.

In a move to prepare the club adequately for the Super Middle League arrangements have been made by officials to play at least three Premiership sides in friendly games at their Tarkwa based before the start of the competition.

F.C Medeamaa last Sunday played host to current League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak in a friendly game at Tarkwa which the Phobians won 2-1.

Speaking after the game, Zito expressed his satisfaction with his side’s performance despite the loss and hinted that his target is to qualify F.C Medeamaa to the Premier League in the next two years.
