FA Cup final: Organisers roll out programme

The FA Cup committee has outlined activities ahead of this year’s MTN FA Cup grand finale involving Bechem United and Okwawu United at the Cape Coast Stadium on September 4.

Below are details:

1. The grand finale will be on the 4th of September 2016.

2. The Venue is still Cape Coast newly built stadium

3. Gates of the stadium open at 11:00am

4. There will be two curtain raiser matches before the main match kicks off in the evening of which the First curtain raiser match which is unconfirmed will be kicked at 12:00Pm.

The second curtain raiser match kicks off immediately after the first match at 2:00pm which will be the final of national women’s league grand finale between three time champions Hasaacas and last season finalist Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

TROPHY ON TOUR

1. Trophy tour starts with a visit to Nkawkaw on Saturday 27th August at 10:00am, where the trophy will be met by the chiefs and people of Nkawkaw.

2. The trophy continues to Bechem on Sunday on 28th August 2016 at 3:00pm, where the people of Bechem will be waiting to see the giant trophy.

3. On Monday 29th August 2016, the trophy will rest at the MTN head office for a photo session And then in the evening of Monday , it will leave Accra by a special canoe service to Mankessim.

4. On Tuesday morning, the people of Mankessim will see the big trophy for the first time as it takes its stroll through the PRINCIPAL STREETS heavily protected by armed police and a motor cade Through to Elmina and back to the Omanhene ‘s palace at Cape Coast.

It will also visit the regional minister and the metropolitan chief Executive , all on Tuesday and finally join the chiefs in the durbar procession later in the day.

5. On Friday at 12 noon, we will have the big game press conference at the conference room of the Cape coast stadium.

6.All media house ,online, radio and TV will be invited for this historic show and later in the day the beautiful trophy will arrive at the durbar grounds where everybody can go and see it.

7. On Saturday, both Bechem and Okwahu United will have open training sessions for the media.
