FIFA has issued a final ultimatum to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade to pay outstanding debt owed to Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.
The order came after the Porcupine Warriors reported the Serbian club to football’s governing body following the delays in paying up the 200,000 euro transfer fee in former striker Nathaniel Asamoah’s move in January 2012.
FIFA had already ruled on a petition from the porcupine warriors through their solicitors, Minkah-Premo & Co and directed the Belgrade club to settle the 200,000 euro fee with a 5% interest from the original due date.
90 MINUTES understands that Asante Kotoko’s management received FIFA’s latest notice last Thursday and will meet the board on Monday to discuss their next line of action.
