Two years ago, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) sealed a mega five-year sponsorship deal with Zylofon Cash to become the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.
The embattled Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the defunct gold dealership firm, Mengold Nana Appiah Mensah who was also the CEO of Zylofon Cash revealed that his company's $10M sponsorship to the GFA for five years was an act of patriotism.
The partnership with the GFA under former President Kwesi Nyantakyi came after Nana Appiah Mensah acquired Division One League club Star Madrid.
Known as NAM1, the embattled CEO expressed his company’s pride in their strategic partnership with his burgeoning Zylofon Cash and the exciting Ghana Premier League.

Announcing the mouthwatering deal in Accra on Thursday Morning, Nana Appiah Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon described his company’s decision to sponsor the Ghana Premier League as a “patriotic and mutually beneficial journey”; which will contribute immensely to the development of not just the league, but also Ghana football.
With the Zylofon Group’s foray into football ownership having acquired Division One side Star Madrid, Nana Appiah Mensah outlined the increasing financial burden on clubs and said this sponsorship will help ease much financial pressure on Premier League clubs.
Nana Appiah expressed his company’s pride in their strategic partnership with his burgeoning Zylofon Cash and the exciting Ghana Premier League.
“Zylofon Media has proudly taken the decision to be the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League for the next five years”, he declared
GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi expressed the GFA’s gratitude to Zylofon Cash for their immense support of Ghana football.
