Ace sports journalist, Gary Al-Smith
Joy Sports' ace journalist, Gary Al-Smith has issued a stern warning to Kwabena Marfo, a participant in last year's Joy Sports Fantasy Premier League competition.
Kwabena Marfo, was wrongly adjudged the winner of the competition at the end of the 2016/2017 Premier League season.
The error was realised after some participants and followers of the competition drew their attention to some miscalculations in the process which prompted Gary Al-Smith and the team at Joy Sports to quickly take moves to address the situation.
Kwabena Marfo, who is a student of the University of Ghana, admitted he was surprised to be declared winner but has made clear his motive of not returning the items to the Joy Sports team after several efforts to get him to return them
This prompted Gary Al-smith to resort to his Facebook page to issue a stern warning to the University of Ghana student who was wrongly declared winner.
The prize is a 32' television set.

Hello everyone.
It's become necessary to take this step because we have been left with no other option.
On October 18, we announced the winner of the season's first fantasy league winner to be Kwabena Marfo.
We came to that conclusion because our systems told us so.
Some of you on this page immediately made us aware that he should not have been the rightful winner. And so, we rechecked everything and realised that your concerns were true.
By the time we realised the error, I had contacted Mr. Marfo via this page, taken his number and called him to come over to Joy FM for his prize - a 32' television set.
Mr. Marfo came over with an elderly man, who he says was his dad, for the TV. As usual, the Joy Sports team took photos of him holding the prize, and they left.
However, upon being very clear that this was an error, I immediately contacted Mr. Marfo again, the following day (October 19) to inform him of the situation.
As you can see from the screenshots below, Mr. Marfo admitted knowing that he was not the winner and being shocked that we announced him as a winner.
Once that was established, we started trying to get him to return the TV, so we could give it to the rightful winner.
It's been close to a fortnight and Mr. Marfo has not been willing to do so.
Last night (Sunday), I contacted him via his Facebook page, again. This morning, he responded. He told us, clearly (as you can see from the screenshots) that he will NOT return the prize, even though he remains aware that we made a mistake.
We have found that Mr. Marfo is a former student of Adisadel College and now at the University of Ghana.
Dear Mr. Marfo, this is just a first step to get you to do the right thing. Finding you is the easiest thing for us to do.
If we do not hear from you by Wednesday, we will

? Report it to your faculty and
? Head to the Police.
As for the rightful winner for September, he will be contacted immediately we sort out this anomaly.
We really apologize for this error, and have been working behind the scenes to rectify it. As you can imagine, taking this route has been done with a lot of consideration. And we simply want the right thing to be done.
Meanwhile, I'm glad to say we have about 7000 players of the Joy Sports Fantasy League and will announce the winner for October after tonight's EPL game.
