Kumasi, May 5, GNA - Kumasi King Faisal were held to a 1-1 drawn game with Accra Hearts of Oak in a thrilling Glo-Premier League mid-week encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The result has thus effectively ended the Phobians' premiership title chase with just one match to bring the curtain down on the 2009-10 League season. Hearts took the lead through Samuel Afum in the 14th minute and held on to their nervy lone goal lead until the end of the first half. Faisal came into the second half a more determined side as they pushed more men forward and nearly snatched the equalizer in the 46th and 49th minutes but Micky Ofosu and Dan Addo wasted the chances that fell their way. The host finally hit the back of the net in the 54th minute through Emmanuel Odoi, after he latched onto a Ofosu's pass in a counter attack. The two teams from then became desperate in search of the winner, which proved elusive with the two teams messing up some decent goal scoring opportunities to end the match in a stalemate. 05 May 10
