Faisal leaves on Wednesday for Zambia

Accra, May 3, GNA - Ghana's Confederation Cup campaigners, Kumasi King Faisal will depart Accra on Wednesday, May 4, to engage Red Arrows of Zambia in the final phase of the qualifying series of the competition.

Faisal, according to information reaching the GNA Sports will make a stopover in Nairobi, Kenya before enrooting to Zambia for the match on Sunday.

The Club is expected to depart with 18 players and seven officials but there are indications that their midfielder, Abubakari Yahuza will miss the boat once again after missing out in the last two games of the competition.

Yahuza is yet to recover from an injury he sustained whilst in the camp of the national team, the Black Stars in their preparation towards their game against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Despite the apparent loss of the services of the midfielder, Faisal's coach, Francis Oti-Akenten is confident of recording a comfortable result in the first leg to give them an easy passage in the second leg in Kumasi.

The winner of the two-leg event will advance to the league stage of the competition.

In view of this, Faisal will have to skip their outstanding game against Kotoko, which was scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, as well as their fifth week league match against Liberty Professionals at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Faisal are currently placed third on the GT Premier league table with 10 points with one outstanding game.
