The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to postpone this month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the region.
FootballMadeInGhana understands that the decision was made by executives in an emergency meeting today (March 13).
It is still quite unclear when the fixtures will be fulfilled but the governing body is willing to wait until the situation is under control.
The Black Stars of Ghana were scheduled to face Sudan in a Group C doubleheader scheduled for 27th March before traveling to Omdurman for the reverse fixture three days later.
An official announcement from CAF is to be expected soon.
