Fatau Dauda is Imam of AshGold team

AshantiGold goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been leading his Muslim teammates in prayer especially when the team is on the road for an away match.

The bus of the Miners will often make stopovers during prayer times to allow for the Muslim contingent amongst the traveling party to observe prayers.

Some of the stops are even made in deserted places to allow for the devoted Islamic contingent to worship.

Fatau Dauda, a devoted Muslim usually plays the role of Imam for the side.

Their devotion to prayer in their belief played an integral role in their Premier League success this season.

The Miners will be making similar stops when they embark on their journey to Accra to play relegation-threatened Great Olympics in their final game of the season.
