Former Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew is thrilled to reunite with his Black Stars teammate Abdul Fatawu Issahaku at Leicester City, as he prepares to make an impact in the Premier League.

Having watched Fatawu make an encouraging debut in Leicester's 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, Ayew is excited to join forces with the youngster and the rest of the squad.

Fatawu initially joined Leicester City on loan but was outstanding during their Championship-winning campaign last season, contributing six goals and 13 assists.

His impressive performance led the club to sign him permanently. On his Premier League debut last Monday, Fatawu further demonstrated his value by providing an assist.

"I’m really happy for him because he has done really well since he first came in and I’m really proud of him," Ayew said of Fatawu. "Obviously, he’s young and he has more years ahead of him, but I’m here to help not only him, but everyone."

With 275 English top-flight appearances under his belt, Ayew is confident he can quickly adapt to life at Leicester, both on and off the pitch. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and the role experience plays in guiding younger players.

"We have experience and we need to help the younger ones, but I expect them to help me as well; it’s teamwork," Ayew noted. "As a player, when you come into a new club, you want to settle down and make sure that everyone is happy."

Ayew is determined to prove himself once again, focusing on contributing to the team's success and ensuring a strong season for Leicester City. He acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform well.

"The most important thing is that, as a club, we do what it takes to have a great season," Ayew stated. "We’ll have to fight as a team, we’ll have to make sure that we give good performances to get results."

Ayew could make his debut against Fulham on Saturday.
