Leicester City manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy has bemoaned Abdul Fatau Issahaku’s injury ahead of their game against Manchester City in the Premier League.
The Foxes will play host to Manchester City, who have struggled to find their rhythm in the top flight this season.
Ahead of the match, Van Nistelrooy has described Issahaku’s season-ending injury as a massive loss to the team as they battle to maintain their spot.
“I think with Fatawu out on a cruciate, that was a big blow just a week before I started. It’s a massive loss for this team” Van Nistelrooy said.
Fatawu Issahaku is currently undergoing rehabilitation after suffering a serious knee injury in the recently concluded African Cup of Nations qualifiers, where Ghana failed to secure a spot.
The former Sporting winger sustained an injury against Angola and subsequently missed the final group game against Niger.
The injury will rule him out of Ghana's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March next year.
