Feyenoord 2 Dwarfs 0

Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord on Sunday spanked Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs 2-0 in their GT Premier League match at the Swedru Sports stadium.

The two goals were scored in the first half through Iddrisu Nasiw in the 10th and 24th minutes.

Feyenoord played a determined and co-ordinated game just as Referee Francis Osei Nsiah of Kumasi signalled the two teams for hostilities to begin.

In the fourth minute, Mahadi Abubakar of Feyenoord, with an empty net before him shot the ball of target after the Dwarfs keeper, Samuel Yeboah was completely out of his posts.

Iddrisu who had a good day, capitalised on the defensive blunder of Dwarfs to score the first goal in the 10th minute and was on target again in the 24th minute.

The striker controlled the ball from the centre cycle and out run the defenders of Dwarfs to plant the ball on the ball side of keeper Yeboah for the second goal.

In the 26th minute, Mike Isadu of Dwarfs was shown the yellow card for rough tackling on Nasiw.

Dwarfs came into the game strongly in the second half but they soon the tempo after piling sustained pressure on the youngsters.

In the 87th minute, Dwarfs top marksman, Ekow Ghansah delivered a terrific shot but the ball hit the goal posts and bounced back into ply for the Feyenoord defenders to clear to safety.

The Cape Coast team exhausted their substitution in an effort to pull even but they failed to at least get a consolation goal before Referee Yeboah brought proceedings to an end.
