AshantiGold SC midfielder David Abagna Sandan has admitted that the Coronavirus break has had a psychological impact on him and says players will need time to "recover mentally" from a long stay at home.
The Ghana Premier League and all other football competitions have been suspended since 15 March 2020 in the wake of the deadly pandemic.
The resumption of the top-flight and other leagues in Ghana remains unknown after the government's ban on social gatherings was extended until 31 July 2020.
"It hasn’t been easy as we have been staying in our homes for who knows how many days now," he told Sey Mubarick on Gbangu FM in Tamale.
The 21-year-old who joined the Miners from Wa All Stars in July 2019 was playing a significant role for AshantiGold before the premiership was halted.
Abagna made 11 appearances for the Gold and Black outfit.
