Fireworks as Accra Giants battle Ashanti Warriors in skate soccer league final

There will be fireworks at the Accra Sports Stadium when Accra Giants battle Ashanti Warriors in the grand finale of the 2019 MTN Skate Soccer league on Saturday, November 30.

Both teams are set to grab the bragging rights and the giant trophy and the cash prize, plus products from sponsors, Binatone.

Accra Giants, led by Captain Gariba Sanni reached the finals of the competition after beating Western Tigers and Zongo Lions to set a final clash with Ashanti Warriors.

Going into the match, both teams have a win in two matches played in past Skate Soccer competition and, the team that grabs the ultimate on Saturday gets the bragging rights.

The winner of the competition would receive a giant trophy, an undisclosed sum of money, medals plus products from sponsors whereas the runner up also gets a miniature trophy, cash and medals.

According to the organisers, the 3rd and 4th placed teams involving Western Tigers and Zongo Lions would also get cash incentives.

The Most Valuable Player, Best goalkeeper and the Goal king and the two referees on the day would also get products from sponsors for their efforts.

Skate Soccer is a game dedicated to the development of the physically challenged members of society with the key focus of getting them off the streets and again create an environment that provides them the platform to display their talent through soccer.
