GHALCA’s prospective sponsorship agreement with First Bank for the G6 tournament is on the rocks, Sportscrusader.com can exclusively reveal.
The welfare body were reported to have reached a mammoth agreement for the financial institution to become the headline sponsors of their inaugural invitational tournament.
But talks between GHALCA and the bank to firm up the deal has collapsed.
The bank had directed GHALCA to hold the media launch of the competition, announcing them as headline sponsors despite not make payment of the agreed sponsorship amount.
GHALCA has earlier claimed sealing the deal with First Bank for an undisclosed amount of money as sponsorship for the G6 tournament which is slated to take place in Sekondi-Takoradi.
The sponsorship was to cover the provision of kits, trophies, medals and other managerial cost during the five day tournament.
But this agreement is nearing a collapse as both institutions have failed to reach an agreement in their final deliberations.
This therefore puts the whole tournament which was to involve AshantiGold, Hearts of Oak, Berekum Chelsea, Aduana Stars, Medeama and one more team at risk of not coming into fruition.
