Ghana's first lady,Mrs.Lordina Mahama, has presented sports equipments worth about 5,000 ghana cedis to eight football clubs in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Aduana stars,Berekum Chelsea,B.A United,Tano Bofoakwa,Berekum Arsenals,Bechem United,Kintampo stars and Techiman Universal stars benefited from her gesture.
The items that were presented included footballs and sets of jerseys.It is a fulfillment of a pledge she made during her recent visit to the region.
Mr.Kingsley Osei Bonsu,Chief executive officer of Bechem United on behalf of the clubs said,the items could not have come at a better time since some clubs are preparing for the 2012/2013 division one league.
The clubs expressed their gratitude to the first lady for the gift.Present at the ceremony was Baba Gausu,regional organiser of NDC, Mumuni Saaka and Micky Charles.
