The saying has always been that clashes between Kotoko and Hearts do not always respect the side that is in-form ahead of the clash.

The traditional aspect of the game gives a picture of the side that stands tall on the day, wins the duel.

Coupled with the fact that Kotoko has always felt comfortable playing in Accra in such clashes than in Kumasi, the Porcupine Warriors have an arsenal of good players who can ensure they chalk such a feet.

If Hearts would want to beat their rivals, then the following players must be watched with eagle eyes and policed very well on the day.

Ernest Sowah –GK: He is the most in-form player in the Kotoko line up so far as the nine matches played in the league is concerned. Sowah has been very instrumental between the sticks for the Porcupine Warriors since taken over the role from Ofori Antwi. He has saved the Porcupine Warriors from numerous crunchy situations including standing between Dreams FC and Kotoko a few weeks back. Hearts will have device a strategy of handling Ernest Sowah to be able to fetch a goal.

Osei Agyemang: Osei Agyemang has been very instrumental for the Reds since joining them from Berekum Chelsea. His chemistry with Ahmed Adams has been very great with some little mistakes that he sometimes commits. He over elaborates and often go in for tackles late. He has gone under the referees’ eagle eyes on several occasions but a good day for him means Cosmos Dauda will be useless.

Michael Yeboah: Yeboah has gradually walked himself into the hearts of the fans of the Porcupine Warriors with his intelligent drives and good passing skills. He has always been a thorn in the flesh for many defenders as well as his midfield markers. He has power and long passing ability. If Michael will start for Kotoko in the clash, Hearts must be very careful.

Dauda Mohammed: If Hearts have Cosmos Dauda, Kotoko has Dauda Mohammed. He is very smart and swift in his movements. He has great shooting skill and power with tremendous scoring ability. He creates chances himself as well as scoring. He is a striker unlike his name-sake who attacks. He is a team player.

Stephen Nyarko: One player who has added a lot of dynamism to the Kotoko midfield is Stephen Nyarko. He is just a replica of former captain Michael Akuffo. He has great shooting ability and loves giving shot passes. He loves running with the ball and taking on his markers. On a good day, Hearts will suffer the absence of Emmanuel Hayford who could have neutralized the swift movements of Stephen Nyarko.
