Renowned businessman and a member of the football family, Dr Kofi Amoah, says Africa football stands to benefit from quality documents that can used to train people in the sport.

The former GFA member was speaking at the launch of ‘Principles of Modern Soccer Coaching’, a coaching manual authored by FIFA and Caf instructor, Ben Koufie.

Dr Kofi Amoah, who bought the first copy, autographed by Ben Koufie for Ghc10,000 says the book is a treasure for the sport.

“We are aware of Ben Koufie's contribution to the world of football not only in Ghana but the world over,” Dr Kofi Amoah, who chaired the launch in Accra on Thursday said.

“He's been awarded by CAF for his contribution.”

The 26-chapter book is made up of 174 pages and it takes a detailed look into the coaching profession as it gives an insight on all aspects of the game including research, training, preparation, tactics and systems.

“At his age, for his wisdom to be to encapsulated into a book is a treasury for Ghana.”

He extolled Ben Koufie's virtues and tasked others in the sport to emulate his contribution.

“A giant of a man but speaks with humility. Let's learn a great deal from this man [Ben Koufie]," Dr Amoah said.
