Former Deputy Sports Minister Nii Nortey Dua dies

Former deputy Minister of Sports Nii Nortey Dua has passed on after contracting an illness.

Ghanasportsonline.com gathers the deceased passed on at the hospital on Thursday dawn.

Nii Nortey Dua worked as the Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku constituency on the ticket of the NDC between 2008 and 2012.

The Politician also served as a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

He is known to have played a role in ensuring Ghana’s successful campaign at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa where the Black Stars got to the quarterfinals of the competition.
