Former Hearts of Oak player Uriah Asante dead

Information reaching Starr Sports indicates that former Accra Hearts of Oak attacking midfielder Uriah Asante is dead.

The 24-year-old is believed to have died from a cardiac arrest at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital Monday.

Asante played for Hearts of Oak on loan from Pure Joy FC and was a member of the gold winning team at the All Africa Games in Maputo five years ago.

He played for Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel and EGS Gafsa.
