Former Hearts player aims to win trophies with new club AFC Leopards

Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Okwahu United left-back, Isaac Oduro, has expressed his desire to win more laurels with his new Kenyan club AFC Leopards following the club's crunchy super cup victory over the week end.

Oduro's camp switch to the Kenyan outfit makes him the third (3rd) Ghanaian player to currently join the Kenyan Leopards together with former Liberty versatile player Prince Papa Arko and former Asante Kotoko goal poacher Eric Bekoe.

Isaac Oduro was a regular starter to the Accra based outfit under Japanese head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi before he was later sidelined following his career threatening injury which was subsequently met by the termination of his contract with the team due to reasons he described as luck of attention from the club towards his injury, with club finally placing him on the team's transfer radar notified him his presence with the Rainbow side was no more needed and had to mutually part ways with them.

The naturally endowed left-wing, was named among the 24 man official squad the club confirmed on it's official twitter handle to represent AFC Leopards in the soon to commence 2018 CAF Confederation Cup competition.

"My aims and aspirations for the club is to win more trophies with them," Oduro told Kumasi based Angel FM.

On his painful treatment at Hearts of Oaks during his career threatening injury, he stated "It's one of those things in this our job and in this world as an individual should bear in mind that everything you do comes along with it's own disappointment and unfortunately injuries form part of those disappointments in our business and game of soccer," the player noted.

"I've tried to overcome whatever happened in the past though it was very disheartening. And glory be to God the club as of now is in love with my performance and I must confess I'm really enjoying it over here as well," he added.

When asked on the clubs preparations ahead of Saturday's crunchy Super Cup game, he confidently said, "We're indeed poised for victory going into the match and from now the team's current top goal scorer (Eric Bekoe) is in one of his topnotch forms having banged in a hat-trick upon arriving in the country in his debut friendly encounter for the club," the enterprising left-back concluded.

Isaac Oduro has signed a contractual deal with AFC Leopards and has only two years to spend with the outfit.
