Michel Salgado, a former defender of Spanish giants, Real Madrid will touch down in Ghana for the Dubai Intercontinental Football Cup (DIFC), which starts from Saturday, December 2, to Sunday, December 3, at the Lizzy Sports Complex, Legon.
The former Spanish international, who is now a youth coach, would lead his Spanish side to participate as guests in the Ghana edition of the DIFC tournament.
The eight team tournament, would put seven youth teams from Ghana, as well as the Spanish soccer schools (the only team from outside the country), into two groups with four teams in each group.
Group A houses Lizzy Sports Academy, Spanish Soccer Schools, Golden Hills and Dansoman Barcelona whilst Group B host Desideros, Next Generation Talent Academy, Akosombo FC and Elite Soccer Club.
The under-13 football tournament, which is being organized by Centa14 Sports and Entertainment, would start from 10am on Saturday, and the best team among the seven Ghanaian clubs from the Ghana Edition of the Dubai Intercontinental Cup will occupy Ghana's slot at the global edition in February 2018 in Dubai and compete against world class teams like AC Milan, Real Madrid and Celta Vigo.
