Frafras win Fun Games

Accra, Sep. 28, GNA-Frafra Community bagged 10 points, to win this year's Frafra-Dagaaba Friendly Fun Games held at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Saturday.

Dagaaba, who won the competition last year, scored only eight points to place second in this year's competition.

The event which was jointly sponsored by Ghana Breweries Limited, Accra Brewery Limited and Kasapreko Company Limited, was aimed at establishing cordial relationship between the two Northern communities. Mr Ambrose Dery, A Deputy Attorney-General and Minister of Justice addressing the participants after the games, called on the two communities to remain united at all times.

He called on them not to take peace and unity for granted but must be committed to it and sustain.

Mr Dery appealed to the citizens to contribute to education by teaching and assisting in schools and to support the President's Special Initiative on education.

He charged the youth to abstain from indiscriminate sex so that they can avoid the deadly disease AIDS.
