Frank Acheampong is injured

Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong could stay out of action for the next three weeks after suffering an injury at training.

The Ghanaian international sustained an inflamed ligament in the back of the knee whiles training with his teammates ahead of a League game match OH Leuven over the weekend.

Acheampong is however expected to undergo a scan today.

“He has an inflamed ligament in the back of the knee. I do not know how long he will be sidelined. This could be a few weeks and he won’t be available “Coach Besnik Hasi told his club’s website.

The former Black Satellites and King Faisal attacker will be hoping to recover on time to join his teammates in the remaining matches of the season.

The 21-year-old came on as a second half substitute to score the match-winner for Anderlecht when they defeated Tottenham Hotspurs 2-1 in the Europa League.
