Fresh Boy wins novelty horse race

The huge spectatorship may not have been forthcoming, but in terms of entertainment, the newly built Accra Turf Club at Ashaley Botwe down was on song as Fresh Boy won the trail race on Saturday February 6, 2016.

“I have nothing to say than to call on the fans to come in their numbers to witness for themselves how thrilling horse racing is in the next week's race,” Dennis Oko (Fresh Boy) told www.sports24gh.com

Some of the horses that took part in the competition were; Sea never dry, Fresh Boy, Yoo bi bioo, Mary Cruz, Let them say, Baafira, Ghana’s Pride, Alvaro, among others.

The fourth race on the day was a stirring stuff between Fresh Boy ridden by Dennis Oko and Ghana’s Boy ridden by Charles Ofori.

President John Dramani Mahama is the chief Patron of the Accra Turf Club and will be present at the maiden title race in March 2016.

The race continues next week Saturday, February 13.
