Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has said that the new headline sponsors for the National Women’s League (NWL), Freshpak Products, has brought a huge sigh of financial relief to the Association.
According to the Confederation of Africa (CAF) 1st Vice President, the GFA was heavily burdened financially for organising the women competitions and hence described Freshpak sponsorship as timely.
He said it cost the GFA an amount of “GH¢600,000.00 each year to organise the NWL and other Women’s competitions”.
Mr Nyantakyi expressed appreciation to the company for their kind gesture to women’s football.
FreshPak Product, a 100 percent local company is engaged in the disposable food tray market and a subsidiary of the Group Nduom Company is investing GH¢500,000.00 annually into the NWL for a period of two years.
