Emmanuel Frimpong is convinced he took the right decision by pledging his international future for Ghana.
The 19 year-old Arsenal midfielder had represented England at under-16 and 17 level before opting to play for Ghana instead.
Frimpong has explained that his decision to pledge for the four-time African champions recently is in fulfillment of a promise he made that he will play for Ghana once he was settled in a club side, Arsenal.
"There was a chance I could play for England," Frimpong. "But England has loads of great players so I don't think they will miss me.
"I just felt that I made a pledge to Ghana four years ago and said if I made it into the Arsenal team, I would always choose them.
"I couldn't let them down as I am not the type of person to back down on my word. It was a hard decision to make but I am happy to settle it."
