Ghana midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong says he is gutted about missing Ghana’s 2014 world cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho next month.
The 21-year-old had a surgery on Wednesday which will keep him out of action for two months.
As a result, he has no chance of making Kwesi Appiah’s squad for the double-header next month.
The Arsenal player who spent the last few months on-loan at Fulham has had his career blighted with injuries.
"Heey everyone I just wanna say I had surgery yesterday night and I’m expected to be out for 8 weeks, it saddens me that i couldn’t go play for Ghana in the world cup qualifiers next month but I have to wish the coach and the players good luck for the matches hope we get maximum points from the game," Frimpong Tweeted.
Frimpong got his nationality switch sorted out late last year and made his Ghana debut in March when the Black Stars defeated Sudan 4-0.
